Opal Stevens Wilemon, born September 25, 1925 in Itawamba County to Clyde and Bulah Stevens passed away on July 12, 2018 at the Monroe County Hospital. She is survived by sons Dale (Glenda) Wilemon of Aberdeen, MS, Ernie (Cynthia) Wilemon of Fulton, MS., Don (Shirley) Wilemon of St. Cloud, FL., and a daughter Mitzi Wilemon of Columbus, MS.; eight grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; one sister Odean Farris of Fulton, MS. and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Fray Wilemon and Ralph Wilemon and one granddaughter Alicia Wilemon Sullivan. She lived most of her adult life in Aberdeen, Ms. where she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and was proud to be a long time member of Friendship Baptist Church where she served in many capacities; most fondly as Sunday School Teacher for the Kings Daughters Sunday School Class.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Todd Wilemon, Scott Wilemon, Bryan Wilemon, Brandon Wilemon, and grandsons in law Kirk Cotham, Matt Brown and Scott Butler. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of the Monroe County Garden Suites and Nina Jurney, C.F.P.
