MABELENE  PETTIGREW

  NETTLETON - Services for Mabelene Conwill Pettigrew, 86, who died Thursday, March 4th at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a short illness, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 6th at First United Methodist Church in Nettleton with the Revs. Aubrey Boren and David Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
  Mrs. Pettigrew was born in Lee County to Tom and Ozell Monaghan Conwill. She was a lifelong resident of Nettleton, a former assistant city clerk for the City of Nettleton and a retired technician at North Mississippi Medical Center Central Supply in Tupelo. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Nettleton, a seamstress, and an avid reader and gardener. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
  She leaves two sons, Carroll Pettigrew (Melba) of Nettleton and James Harold Pettigrew of Madison, Mississippi; a beloved grandson, James Carroll Pettigrew; two sisters-in-law, Betty Conwill of Verona and Helen Cathcart of Mulliken, Michigan; three nieces, Nancy Hamm, Rosemary Barnes and Kim Sanders, and a nephew, Greg Conwill.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace I. Pettigrew; her parents; two sisters, Vivian Davis and Rose Birmingham; a brother, Eugene Conwill.
  Pallbearers are Greg Conwill, Fred Pettigrew, Jimmy Bryan, Dale Whitlock, John Dabbs and Scott Barnes.
  Honorary pallbearers are members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church.
  Visitation will take place from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 5th and will continue frdom 11:00 a.m. until time for services Saturday, February 6th, at the church.
