NETTLETON - Services for Edna Brady Minga,
89, who died Saturday, February 27th at her residence following an
extended illness, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 1st in the
Tisdale-Lann Memorial Nettleton Chapel with the Revs. Truman
Thompson and James Rutledge officiating. Burial will be in Lann
Cemetery.
Mrs. Minga was born in Eureka to Thomas and Belle Vess Brandy. She lived
most of her life in Nettleton, was the valedictorian of her senior
class at Nettleton High School in 1938 and was a member of Temple
Grove Baptist Church. She was the retired book store manager at
Northwest Alabama Technical College in Hamilton, Alabama and also
retired from the Mississippi Department of Health. She enjoyed
reading and being with her family and friends.
She leaves a step daughter, Sarah Bracamonte (Orlando) of Ft. Meyers,
Florida; a step son, Joe Minga (Sharon) of Brewer; four
grandchildren, Robin, Leslie, Michelle Hinton (John) and Marcus
Minga (Mindy); several great grandchildren and a host of nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hansel
Minga; her parents; brothers, Floyd Brady and John Brady.
Pallbearers are Dub Harris, Robert Chaney, Alan Minga, Marcus Minga,
Romie Holloway and Dean Minga. Honorary pallbearer is Paul Duncan.
Visitation will take place from 5:00
until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 28th, at the funeral home, and
will continue from 8:30 a.m. until time for services Monday at the
funeral home. |
