OKOLONA - Services for Jessie Rea
Lamb Kimble, 90, who died Tuesday, February 23rd at her residence
after an extended illness, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday,
February 25th in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Nettleton Chapel with the
Rev. Sammy Raper officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
Mrs. Kimble was born in Lee County to Robert Bruce and Cordie Alred Lamb.
Though a native of Lee County, she had resided in Okolona for the
past forty-one years. She was a retired seamstress and a
Pentecostal.
She leaves six daughters, Ruby Rooker and her friend, Robbie, of Fulton;
Glenda Shaw, Geneva Parker and Doris Mask (Larry), all of Nettleton;
Jimmy Kimble (Carolyn), Sammy Kimble (Joann), Fred Anderson (Etoy),
all of Nettleton, J.R. Anderson of Grenada; two sisters, Hellen
Phillips and Lois Plunkett, both of Okolona; 29 grandchildre; 50
great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; four
nieces, four nephews, and two special friends, Frances Tackett and
Johnny Mae Gregory.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter; a sister, Jimmy
Edwards; a brother, Robert Lamb; three granddaughters, Gail Stokes,
Donna Miller and Tammy Anderson.
Pallbearers are Jason Duke, anthony Johnson, Robbie Kilgo, Marvin Lamb,
Vance Kimble, and Timothy James Taylor. Honorary pallbearers are
Jake Duke and Terry Sullivan.
Visitation will take place from 5 until 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 24th
and will continue from 10 a.m. until time for services on Thursday,
Fevbruary 25th at the funeral home. |
