NETTLETON - Services for Taylor
Houston Edwards, 81, who died Thursday, February 25th at North
Missississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following an extended
illness, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 28th in the
Tisdale-Lann Memorial Nettleton Chapel with the Revs. Mike Brazeal
and Dale Whitlock officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.
Mr. Edwards was born in Lee County to Henry Weaver and Mary Bell Edwards.
He was a lifelong resident of Nettleton, a retired millwright at
Jesco, Inc. in Fulton and a member of Palestine Baptist Church. He
enjoyed working in his garden.
He leaves his wife, Johnnie Lou Farris Edwards of Nettleton; a daughter,
Linda Fay Morton (Gene) of Nettleton; a son-in-law, Terry Hankins of
Plantersville; three grandchildren, David Hankins (Kim), Teresa
Franklin (Danny), all of Nettleton, and Robert Dillard (Tabitha) of
Pontotoc; seven great grandchildren, Anna Grace, Kaylee Hankins,
Casey Anthony, Grant Franklin, all of Nettleton, Lindsey and Josh
Dillard, both of Pontotoc, and a brothers, Fred Edwards (Yvonne) of
Tupelo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter,
Brenda Hankins; a sister, Mary Helen Dickerson; brother, Clarence
Edwards.
Pallbearers are Anthony Franklin, Grant Franklin, Charles Flurry, Lamar
Pettigrew, Robby Hankins and J.B. Berryman.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February
27th at the funeral home. |
