PLANTERSVILLE - Services for
Effie Louise Ratliff Christopher, 82, who died Thursday, February
18th at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, will be held at 11:00
a.m., Saturday, February 20th in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Nettleton
Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Bates officiating. Burial will be in the
Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Christopher was born in Lee County to Velmer and Ruby Roper Ratliff.
She was a lifelong resident of Plantersville, a homemaker and a
member of Union United Methodist Church. She was a devoted quilter
and seamstress.
She leaves a daughter, Pat Erb (Billy) of Germantown, Tennessee; two
sons, Tommy Christopher (Wanda) and Jimmy Christopher (Pam), all of
Nettleton; two sisters, Laverne Henshaw of Higden, Arkansas
and Linda Rich (Jack) of Decatur, Alabama; two brothers, Jearl
Ratliff (Donna) of Smithville and Lamar Ratliff (Caroline) of
Mantachie; three grandchildren, Lee Christopher (Kim), Chris Buskirk
(Tina) and Adam Christopher (Amanda); five great grandchildren and
one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Harvie Lee Christopher, her parents, a sister, Barbara Denson, and
two brothers, Dewey and Charles Ratliff.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great nephews.
Visitation will continue from 8:30 a.m. until time for services Saturday
at the funeral home. |
